Instances in CloudGate Key Manager correspond to server instances in your infrastructure. These instances can either be hosted by one of the supported cloud service providers, or made available through some other means.
Server instances that you want to make accessible through CloudGate Key Manager need to have OpenSSH server software installed. The OpenSSH server needs to be configured to allow public key authentication, and to retrieve authorized keys from CloudGate Key Manager.
Instances in CloudGate Key Manager can be grouped into environments. Instance information can be entered manually by an administrator, or it can be retrieved automatically from a cloud account.
