The environment screen lets you view and edit an environment's details.
General section
The General section contains general information about the environment.

Name |
The environment's canonical name
Note: The environment's name cannot be changed after the environment has been created.

Display name |
The environment's display name This is the name that will be used throughout the application to refer to the environment. |
Description |
A description of the environment This description will also be displayed in the left menu. |
Cloud accounts |
One or more cloud accounts that are linked to the environment You can link additional accounts to the environment by selecting them from the Link account... dropdown menu. |
Management |
The management type of the environment Environments are managed either manually or automatically. |
Management tag |
The instance tag name and value used for automatic management Instances retrieved from the cloud accounts that are linked to this environment will be checked for the presence of this tag. If the tag is present on the instance, and its value matches the specified value, the instance will be automatically added to the environment. If no such tag is present on the instance, or its value does not match the specified value, it will not be added. In cases where the instance had already been added previously, it will be removed. |
Instances section
The Instances section contains information about the instances that belong to the environment, and lets you add and delete instances in manually managed environments.

Delete |
Deletes the instance.
Note: This action is only available for manually managed environments.

Add instance |
Navigates to the Instance screen to allow you to add a new instance to the environment.
Note: This action is only available for manually managed environments.

Cancel |
Discards any changes made to the environment, and reverts it to its original state. |
New |
Discards any changes made to the environment, and opens a new environment screen. |
Delete |
Deletes the environment.
CAUTION:
Deleting an environment also deletes all instances that are part of the environment.

Saves all changes made to the environment. |
